“The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life.”― William Faulkner

  1. Jana, thank you for the gorgeous painting “where the city meets the sea,”. We love it & it fits perfectly in our home. Hope Via Affirmativa was a good time for you. It is always a highlight of my year. Thankfully Yours, Eddie & Barbie Broussard

    • Thank you for your inquiry. If you are local, you can find class information at http://cottonwoodcenterforthearts.com/watercolor-100. All new-to-me students start in Level 100 classes, even those who are experienced painters.

Registration is now open for the November session and sessions beginning January -May (Cottonwood does not offer monthly classes in December).

My classes generally fill early, so I recommend planning at least a month in advance of when you want to start. It takes about 8 weeks to gain an good understanding of technique and theory. CCArts courses are 4 weeks each session. This means you may want to register for two – 4 week sessions to guarantee your spot.

Let me know if you have any questions.
