Jana Bussanich is a visual artist, consultant and art instructor. Her private studio is located at the Second Floor Studios in Old Colorado City, Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA. Jana’s professional art experience includes private, commercial and public art in a variety of media, including original watercolor and oil paintings, vinyl wraps from her abstract photography, murals and small to large scale photographic prints. She has two years experience in urban infill / construction photographic project documentation and has managed the creation of a privately owned large-scale 3D public art piece. Her most recent project of note is her photography at Blue Dot Place Apartments, the creative design, manufacturing and installation of the public art on the exterior of the apartments and a large-scale photography print in the Loyal Coffee and Quad building located at 408 S Nevada Avenue in Colorado Springs. Jana’s commercial photography is used in the branding and marketing of Blue Dot Place on their website and in social media.

At her private art studio and Cottonwood Center for the Arts, Jana teaches watercolor technique and color theory. As an art instructor Jana Bussanich believes that function and beauty need never be separated and that people of all ages and abilities can discover, develop and enjoy their creative potential through art making. She also has 13 years experience in theatre set design, construction and decoration and produced live theatre from 2009-2012.

Jana enjoys hiking, time with her family and traveling. She spent a month traveling Europe and completed a 2-week artist residency in September 2017 at Chateau Orquevaux, Champagne-Ardenne, France.
